Ford Tri-Motor Landing on KSQL
This is a Ford trimotor landing at San Carlos Airport. The Ford Trimotor is an American three-engine transport aircraft. Production started in 1925 by the companies of Henry Ford and ended on June 7, 1933. A total of 199 Ford Trimotors were made. I believe this is one of only two that sell tickets and give rides to the public.
San Carlos Airport is also home to the Hiller Aviation Museum. Stanley Hiller was once at the forefront of helicopter technology. Once a year the Hiller Aviation Museum sponsors an amazing helicopter air show that is the only one on earth.
